This position is to work as a research engineer in GE's Water & Process Technologies laboratories at GE's China Technology Center in the Water Reuse Team. Position duties include working with cross functional team on new product/process development for wastewater treatment and water reuse as well as technical support for customers.

* Define, design and develop innovative new products/processes and applications for use in water and wastewater, with a focus on membrane purification (RO, NF, EDR) for water re-use and reduction of membrane concentrate volume.
* Determine most effective arrangement of unit operations exercising judgment to balance process requirements, economics (cost & payback), operator effectiveness, and physical health hazards.
* Support pilot test operations as required.
* Provide technical product support, customer service and non-routine problem solving for water re-use applications给水/自来水--水处理工艺；* Ph.D. /MS in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry/Electrochemistry
* Familiarity with membrane processes (e.g. MF, UF, NF/RO) in water treatment is required; industrial process experience is preferred.
* Ability to design, construct, modify, and operate bench-scale/pilot equipment
* 2-5 years experience in water purification and applications focused on membrane filtration and water reuse.
* Experience preferred in design and optimization of water purification unit operations including pre-treatment, ion exchange, oxidation, adsorption, evaporation, crystallization, membrane (e.g. MF, UF, NF/RO), and zero-liquid discharge (ZLD).
* Excellent English communication skills desired for interaction with global and cross functional team
