Basic Function
Under the direction of the China Business Manager, provide technical service, support, and application development for the wastewater (IWT) and institutional & household (I&H) bioaugmentation markets. Provide training for sales, customers and distributors. Develop, start-up, and monitor field technical programs. Manage the Tech Service laboratory and Lab Technician.

Duties and Responsibilities
Develops, starts-up, and monitors field programs and trials, including proposals for key customers and on-site support where needed. Makes field calls as required to interface with distributors and customers
Investigates new applications for technical feasibility and develops protocols for data collection.
Performs data analysis and prepares reports using field and laboratory data to support programs for current or new applications.
Manages the Tech Service lab to provide accurate supporting data for IWT and I&H product sales or application development.
Provides office and field technical support to sales colleagues.
Trains sales colleagues, distributors, and customers on products and application technology, including seminars and workshops.
Communicates with global tech service colleagues to ensure that local tech service and sales colleagues are aware of current developments (case studies, new applications, product ideas, etc.).
Handles technical questions and product information calls.
Assists in developing technical literature, procedures and applications literature.

Master’s degree (M.S.) or equivalent in engineering or scientific discipline; 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and reports, general business periodicals, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Must be in good health, able to travel, and able to meet the health & safety requirements of customers’ facilities.
Must be able to prepare lab and field testing protocols that generate defensible data.
Must be competent or able to learn environmental microbiology and biological wastewater treatment processes. Previous biological wastewater treatment experience is a strong plus.
Must be fluent in Mandarin; must be able to communicate in English.
